How to get there:
For those with Sat Nav, the postcode is TQ7 2BY. From the M5, head towards Kingbridge. This is signposted, but a quicker way is to take the Loddiswell turnoff. Once at Kingsbridge take the A379 towards Charleton and Frogmore. At Frogmore you have to make a sharp right across a small bridge signposted East Prawle. There are a number of further turns, better described <click here>, but all are signposted East Pawle.
As you enter the village, turn right just before the Providence pub. Drive past a line of cottages on your left and the village green will be in front of you and to the left. The cottage is at the far left side of the village green (drive in). If you cannot find it, we are the house with a stone boundary wall on the green itself, separated by a small track. If all else fails, stand with your back to the Pig's Nose pub's front door, walk past the building with the shop in it and the Cottage is in front of you to the left side of the track.
Access is by a roadway that leads right to the front door. There is ample easy parking by the green itself - only a few yards away.
The cottage is arranged on three levels. An entrance porch (for coats and boots) leads in to the main living area - with sofas/armchair, table, books and games, TV, DVD,VCR and a log burner. The whole of the downstairs has a stone tiled floor. There is open access to the kitchen and dining area with one step up.

The kitchen is in a galley style but has plenty of space - with granite worksurfaces, a modern halogen hob / double oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. A porch area contains a separate freezer and a washing machine - with drying racks. There's quality china, glassware and cookware for eight people and a good range of equipment to suit a demanding cook. There's a BBQ for your use and a table in the garden.

The first floor offers two double bedrooms - one has an en-suite shower room with sink and toilet. Also on the first floor is the bathroom which has a full size bath with electric shower over, a sink and a toilet. Every bedroom has a view out to sea over the fields.

From the landing, separate staircases lead up into the upper floor where two bedrooms each have two single beds. Windows allow in lots of light and give views over the village green on one side and on the other over fields to the sea.

Mobile phone coverage is patchy in the village. A phone is provided for incoming calls only - Tel. 01548 511597 (so you can divert your phone to this if you like).
Child friendliness.
A cot and high-chair are provided in the cottage. The staircases are fairly steep or have an open side and are not suitable for toddlers or young children to use unsupervised. We can provide, upon request, a moveable stair gate to allow you to control access. Please let us know when you book if you need this. Please call us to discuss further if you have any concerns.
The village green is right next to the cottage and is a great place to play for kids of all ages - there is usually little traffic due to the location of the village. There's a small playground nearby. The Piglet Stores is great for ice creams and Grunters Café caters well for children.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are most welcome by prior arrangement. A small extra charge is made for dogs.
