The village is home to two excellent pubs - both are long-standing favorites of the owners of Windfall! We recommend that you try them both.
The Providence offers excellent food and drink with a new chef for 2006 bringing fresh ideas.

The Pigs Nose also offers great food, well kept ales and perhaps the most surprising calendar of entertainment for a village pub. Peter and Lesley have brought their years of experience in the music industry to the bvillage and the pub now attracts an eclectic mix of entertainment - large and small. The Piglet stores sell essentials for your stay - milk, bacon and eggs along with newspapers. The Grunters Café does excellent breakfasts from 9 AM and stays open until 5 for lunches, teas and ice cream. The Ashby stores in Frogmore is a 15 minute drive away and has a wider range of supplies.
Local beaches
A pebble beach near Prawle Point is 15 minutes walk away - great for beachcombing and rockpooling - and rarely another person in sight. A 25 minute walk will take you to a golden sandy beach - very secluded and private.
Walks
You can join the coastal path near the coastguard cottages, and enjoy a lovely walk past secluded beaches. Stopping off at the coastguard lookout near the old Gara Rock Hotel (not a hotel any more). Just past Mill Bay, the passenger ferry will take you over to Salcombe. Don't forget you have to get back though!
